#10 wisconsin badgers
colors: cardinaland white - are you seeing a pattern here...? conference: Big Ten mascot: Bucky Badger, who looks more like an original Pokemon.
i choose you
coach:Bret Bielema, sixth year. apparently absolutely loves windbreakers and wears one every Saturday superstitiously. has a 49-16 record and five bowl appearances in his first five seasons at Wisconsin. not bad for his first head coaching job.
windbreakers
quarterback: #16 senior Russell Wilson, who transferred to Wisconsin just this summer from North Carolina State in what was kind of a controversial move. was named 2008 ACC Rookie of the Year and WAS DRAFTED BY THE COLORADO ROCKIES OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL LAST YEAR... what. he's already graduated from NC State but has a year left in athletic eligibility since he redshirted as a freshman. hottie index: 5/10
getting married next January to his high school sweetheart.
so love is real...?
the low-down: had an absolutely phenomenal 11-2 season last year, one that included beating #1 Ohio State and my dear Northwestern 70-23 but losing to TCU in the Rose Bowl. this year they're going to have a great running game with three of the best offensive runners in the game: John Clay, James White and Montee Ball. there won't be a problem with the new quarterback because he's experienced, but he won't compare to last season's star Scott Tolzien, now playing for the San Diego Chargers. not too much to worry about with defense, either. people seem to be fairly confident that the Badgers will be Big Ten champs again, which shouldn't be too hard since like 40 billion teams can be crowned co-champions... they'll definitely get a great bowl bid, probs a BCS bowl if they don't eff things up, but not the Rose Bowl. games the Badgers might have to worry about: Nebraska, Michigan State, Ohio State, and probably Penn State. hopefully they can defend their semi-newly acquired leadership in the Big Ten, and they will, as long as they don't allow as many turnovers as they did last season. first game: University of Nevada Las Vegas at home. obviously the win goes to the Badgers.
