YAY COLLEGE FOOTBALL STARTS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I AM VERY BEHIND ON THESE POSTS.

colors: cardinal and white - what's that, like 30 different names for red?

conference: Pac 12

mascot: unofficially the Stanford Tree, which makes no sense. a Cardinal is not a tree. also... what.

coach: David Shaw, first year. formerly a wide receiver for the Cardinal, and later on became offensive coordinator for Stanford, too. has been assistant coach for three NFL teams: Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Baltimore Ravens. he's replacing Jim Harbaugh, who packed his bags for the San Francisco 49ers.

quarterback: #12 junior Andrew Luck, who's fucking badass at football. he was runner-up for the Heisman last year, and was basically agreed upon to be the first pick for the 2011 NFL Draft. he decided he wanted to stay at Stanford instead. which leads me to: he goes to Stanford. which makes him eligible for marriage in my parents' eyes already. basically, he's the perfect quarterback.

hottie index: 5/10... i mean come on, he gets some points for being smart.

looks okay zoomed out, but...

the low-down: lost to the Sooners in the 2009 Sun Bowl, won the Orange Bowl last year against Virginia Tech - making their 2010 season nearly perfect, if it weren't for those damn Oregon ducks. some issues to tackle (haha football punz) this season include breaking in the new coach and losing 11 starters from both sides. that sucks, but it's not bad enough to call this a rebuilding year. luckily, their schedule is not bad, especially not for this team (who makes this shit?) and they have arguably the best quarterback in the game right now. games they'll have to worry about: Oregon and Notre Dame, at the end of the season. everything else 'til then is cake.

first game: San Jose State at home. ugh, i hate California.
